Just a lovely place staffed by lovely people...

What an amazing location! Situated on the bank of the Mara river with Hippos galore! Food was exceptional. We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace over looking the river watching the wildlife. As we were full board, we took 3 packed lunches with us on the day we left and they were delicious! The room was lovely, clean and comfortable, situated in beautiful gardens. Plenty big enough for 3.

POWER PROBLEM

The staff is great and went out of the way to make us comfortable especially William the F&B manager was really great and made sure our food requirments are met especially since we had some vegeterian people in our group.

The power is avaialble only for 2 hours in the morning and 4 hours in the evening and everything is shut by 10 pm. Children had a tough time sleeping as it was pretty hot and there are no fans as well in the room.

Beautiful lodge, beautiful animals, beautiful people.

The kitchen staff was phenomenal. We were late a few times because of our jet lag. They weren’t upset with us and instead said it was alright. They always asked what we wanted to eat and obliged to our dietary restrictions. Everyone in the hotel was friendly. My husband and I enjoyed our stay!

Electricity time changes should be communicated to guests. The addition a bulletin/chalkboard in the lobby can convey any changes. Families that are larger may need to carefully plan electronic use such as blow driers and screen time. This includes photographers needing to charge their equipment, etc.

A good place to game drive in Masai Mara

The service of the staff has been great and the meals have been very tasty. We appreciated the place as it was very peaceful and great atmosphere overally.

The Lunch box for the second day haven't been provided by the accommodation, as we ordered for a full board. We found strange not to be asked if we needed such boxes, especially as we were game driving the full day.

Excellent location and good meal service.

The situation of this accommodation is excellent. Sitting on the verandah to the restaurant you have a superb view of the Mara River and its wildlife. The rooms were clean and the bed and bathroom were both good. The service in the restaurant was excellent. There were only four of us in the lodge and as a result we had excellent service from the waiter and chef. The breakfast and other meals were all very good with loads of food nicely cooked.

Sadly of the 130 rooms only four were occupied during our stay by myself and three travel companions. Maybe because of the lack of guests there was no WiFi in the rooms and the power supply to the rooms was only available between 7:00 and 9:00 in the evening. Whilst you could charge at the reception the lack of WiFi and power in the room was a problem. Had it not been for those two factors I might have given this lodge a 10.

Good

Staff were very friendly and tried to be as accommodating as possible given the circumstances.

We were the only people staying in the lodge, which impacted the facilities. We only had 2h of electricity per day in our room, solar lights kept flickering. We were able to charge phones and batteries at reception, but it's a small inconvenience. Similar food options were limited, but the staff were trying their utmost best to design a suitable menu. Considering the price comparable with higher standard lodges, my expectations weren't quite met.

Staff were excellent as were the views, location is good for game drives

Food was ok but very limited choices as was the wine list, the fact that there is electricity only from 7.50Pm to 10Pm is not good, it is dark by the time the generator comes on and for those who need to do some work during the day the charging laptops and phones is a challenge

good breakaway, lovely surroundings, friendly satff

Staff are excellent and friendly, facilities are good and meals adequate.

Power could be on earlier as it is dark when the power is off in the evening, also no power during the day makes charging things difficult, hard to work on laptop for long without power. There are no smoking signs around the bar area however a group of people chose to ignore that and i had to remind them a few times, needs better signs. Lack of good wines at the bar which is disappointing

Lack of activities as rooms are minimally furnished, Only had power in rooms between 18:30 and 22:00 which is shocking.No drinks included in meals!!Swimming pool is too small
