Außergewöhnlich
Es war genial. Alle, wirklich alle Angestellten waren super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben eine tolle Zeit verbracht. Der Ausblick auf die Hippos und die Natur ist atemberaubend. Bei den Safaris haben wir sooo viele Tiere gesehen. Wir waren rund um begeistert und empfehlen die Lodge uneingeschränkt weiter.
Es gab nichts zu kritisieren.

What was the highlight of 马拉河山林小屋
Beautiful place located just next to the Mara River - no need to go to the expensive Masai Mara National Park
The location next to the Mara River with countless hippos was exceptional.
The fact that we were told upfront that everything can be paid by credit card including the park fees for Masai Mara and the conservancy fees for the local community. The conservancy fees had to be paid in cash (70 US$ per person per day in Shilling) and Masai Mara gate accepts credit cards when the machine works (100 US$ per person per day; 200 US$ in high season). The safest is to organize permits for the KWS parks through eCitizen, but you need a lot of patience with this online system. Also worth mentioning was the condition of the roads. In case you travel by car yourself, make sure you hire a proper 4WD or take a driver; the roads are in an unbearable condition and you wonder, where all the park and conservation fees go. Not to be blamed on the lodge management!

POWER PROBLEM
The staff is great and went out of the way to make us comfortable especially William the F&B manager was really great and made sure our food requirments are met especially since we had some vegeterian people in our group.
The power is avaialble only for 2 hours in the morning and 4 hours in the evening and everything is shut by 10 pm. Children had a tough time sleeping as it was pretty hot and there are no fans as well in the room.
